Authentic Balinese Cuisine: From Ceremonial Food to Daily Consumption
The most popular being lawar, saté, and babi guling. Lawar is made of [Photo]minced meat, vegetables, finely cut crackling, mixed with a lot of spices and uncooked-blood as a binding sauce. Saté or satay is grilled chopped meat that can be beef, pork, or chicken. Babi guling is a spit-roasted suckling pig. In the past, these foods were only made for religious rituals, celebrations, or festivals.

BE MESERE(BALI SPICY BEEF)
Be Mesere is the one of Bali traditional food. It's the spicy(very hot) food, that will make your mouth burnt. But you will take it more and more, unconciously. Actually,Be Mesere is the meat fried sauce.
Let's cook.
Yield: 2 serving
250 gram beef
8 pcs red chillies
6 pcs little green chillies
1 small piece of trassi
1 small piece of soft brown sugar(Javanesse sugar), it should be the same amount with trassi
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 table spoon vegetable oil
lime (if like)
1.Boiled beef until tender, then hit the meet and shred into small strips, pulling it apart with your fingers.
2.Mix all spicy together until you have a smooth paste.
3.Heat vegetable oil, then mix all ingredients into fry pan
Have a great meal!!!
